We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director, Web Experience to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will support all facets of Web Experience, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and own the holistic web experience strategy for all digital properties, ensuring seamless journeys for fans, ticket buyers, partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing web development / web operations team, with an emphasis on performance and scalability.
  • Define technical roadmaps and oversee architecture decisions to deliver a best-in-class sports fan web experience.
  • Own the conversion optimization program (A/B testing, personalization, multivariate experiments) to improve outcomes across ticket sales, membership, loyalty sign-ups, and merchandise.
  • Enforce SEO best practices across all fan-facing web properties, including content-rich team sites, schedule/ticketing pages, and community programs.
  • Manage content governance for game-day information, player/team content, multimedia, and sponsor activations, ensuring timely publishing and consistency across channels.
  • Instrument and maintain web analytics, event tracking, and dashboards tied to key sports KPIs: ticket conversion, fan engagement, retention, loyalty program participation, and digital sponsorship ROI.
  • Partner with marketing, partnerships, and ticketing teams to integrate the site with Martech, CRM, CDP, loyalty/rewards platforms, and mobile apps.
  • Collaborate with creative, content, and fan experience groups to ensure the website enhances the brand, highlights community initiatives, and showcases sponsorship activations.
  • Monitor KPIs (traffic, conversion, SEO rankings, fan engagement, ticket sales lift) and present insights and ROI from web initiatives to senior sports leadership.
  • Stay current on web and sports-industry digital trends: gamification, real-time updates, streaming integration, personalization, and global fan engagement tactics.

What We Need from Our Director, Web Experience:

  • 8+ years in web development, digital product management, or web engineering roles, with at least 3 years leading teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience with front-end, back-end and CMS platforms and integrations with ticketing and fan engagement platforms.
  • Deep fluency in web analytics, SEO, CRO, and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Experience with Martech integration: CRM, CDP, marketing automation, tag managers, personalization engines.
  • Proven ability to optimize conversion funnels—especially ticketing, membership, or subscription flows.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to partner across technical, creative, and commercial teams.
