Senior Video Producer–Editor

Location: Seattle (with frequent field travel)

About the Company
Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Seattle, this well-funded defense technology company is building advanced autonomous systems for ground operations in complex, real-world environments. Backed by significant venture funding and multi-year government contracts, the team works closely
with end users to develop and deploy mission-critical technology used in demanding and often hazardous conditions.

The company blends deep expertise in robotics, machine learning, and field testing to deliver highly capable systems that operate across varied terrain and contested environments. Their work sits at the intersection of technology, human decision-making, and real-world execution.

Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Video Producer–Editor to own the full video production lifecycle, from concept through final delivery. This is a hands-on, senior-level role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and can capture cinematic, documentary-style content that brings complex technology and human stories to life.

You’ll partner closely with marketing, engineering, and executive leadership to produce high-impact video content that supports brand, storytelling, and go-to-market efforts.

Key Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end video production including concept development, filming, editing, sound design, and delivery
• Produce short- and medium-form content for web, social, and marketing campaigns
• Develop concepts, scripts, and storyboards aligned with brand and messaging
• Lead pre-production planning including scheduling, location scouting, and equipment prep
• Manage on-site shoots in rugged, real-world environments while maintaining high production quality
• Coordinate with internal teams and external freelancers or vendors as needed
• Edit content with strong attention to narrative flow, pacing, and visual impact
• Enhance footage with color grading, motion graphics, sound design, and light visual effects
• Stay current on video, storytelling, and platform trends; use performance insights to refine future content

Desired Experience & Qualifications
• 8+ years of professional experience in video production and editing
• Strong portfolio showcasing cinematic, live-action, and documentary-style work
• Experience filming in outdoor, industrial, field, or non-studio environments
• Advanced proficiency with professional editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Adobe CC, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with professional video, audio, and lighting equipment
• Strong visual storytelling instincts with an understanding of pacing and audience engagement
• Comfortable directing shoots and managing production logistics
• Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong communicator who collaborates well across creative, technical, and leadership teams
• Willingness to travel regularly (approximately 30–50%) for field-based shoots
Ideal Profile (Helpful but Not Required)
• Background in documentary, adventure, automotive, defense-adjacent, or technical storytelling
• Comfortable capturing both technology and the human element behind it
• Self-directed, resourceful, and energized by working in challenging environments
