Vice President, Preconstruction – Mission Critical Construction
Location: Atlanta, GA
We are partnering with a growing mission-critical construction organization seeking a Vice President of Preconstruction to lead preconstruction strategy across a national portfolio of complex data center projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead estimating, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, constructability, and GMP development
- Oversee major pursuits, contract negotiations, and commercial strategy
- Own preconstruction financial performance, forecasting, and staffing plans
- Build and develop teams across estimating, procurement, and scheduling
- Partner with executive leadership on growth strategy and market expansion
- Maintain executive-level client and partner relationships
- Establish standards, KPIs, and processes to improve estimating accuracy, win rates, and project handoff
Ideal Background
- Senior leadership experience in preconstruction, estimating, or construction planning
- Strong data center, mission-critical, or complex construction background
- Experience leading large teams and developing future leaders
- Strong P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial negotiation experience
- Deep knowledge of estimating, procurement, constructability, value engineering, and scheduling
- Comfortable working directly with executive leadership and major clients
