Our client is an expanding women’s apparel collection who has served the industry since 1985. They are looking to add a new Sales/Account Manager to the team who will contribute to their strong culture and driven sales team.
The sales team is responsible for managing existing accounts and driving new business growth by selling their clothing collection to independent retailers, boutiques, and small chains. The ideal candidate is a seasoned sales professional with experience in the wholesale apparel and/or gift industry, familiar with market trends and proficient in leveraging multiple sales channels, including in-person, phone, text, and social media. This role focuses on nurturing relationships with existing customers, expanding their book of business, and curating new customers through digital platforms such as Facebook, Shopify, Boutique Hub, and FashionGo. A successful candidate will bring a self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building strong client partnerships.
The ideal Candidates will be happy working remotely, effectively managing their own schedule, driving to in-store visits with customers 75% of the time.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Sales Representative to join our client’s team—a true "Road Warrior" role for someone with a proven commitment to sales and a passion for driving growth. This position is ideal for a driven professional who thrives on building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional results.
Customer Visits: Conduct regular in-person visits within the assigned geographic territory to review inventory, introduce new products, and strengthen relationships
Travel Requirements: Engage in constant daily travel within the field (not a home office role), including 2-3 overnight stays, to actively visit customers and generate sales.
New Business Development: Research, plan, and schedule appointments with prospective accounts to develop new opportunities and grow the customer base.
Account Management: Build and maintain relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met while identifying opportunities for expansion.
Brand Advocacy: Become an expert on our products and brand, representing them with passion and confidence to current and potential clients.
Market Insight: Understand and anticipate customer needs by analyzing geographical, seasonal, and industry trends, tailoring solutions to meet their specific requirements.
Trade Shows and Events: Represent the brand at conferences, trade shows, and industry events to network and showcase products.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Experience:
Travel 4 days per week (including overnight and day trips) to meet in-store with buyers and prospects for new customers.
A valid and clean driver’s license is required.
3+ years of B2B sales experience growing new and existing accounts, ideally within the apparel or gifting sectors.
Proven track record of driving sales growth in the specialty retail market, acting as a true hunter to identify and secure new opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, earning trust through integrity and a customer-centric approach.
Current knowledge of market trends, competitors, and customer needs to position the brand effectively.
Established network in the women’s boutique or specialty retail space is highly preferred.
Experience using CRM platforms to manage leads and optimize sales processes.
